What is
a true "no-download" solution and why is it important? |
Almost every company in
the Online Meeting space claims their product is "easy to use". Yet only a small number of these companies offer a true "no-download" solution.
So what exactly is a true "no-download" solution, and why
is it important?
Let's say, you are about to host an online presentation, demonstrating, a new software
product to a group of 50 potential customers joining you from around the world.
Everyone attempts to join your presentation by visiting a Web Conferencing website (in our case it is www.JoinPresentation.com) and entering a
presentation code. This procedure is similar for all collaboration
services nowadays.
So what happens next?
If you are using a "no-download" solution like HelpMeeting Presenter, in about 10 seconds all your guests
will see your screen, regardless of their network configuration,
operating system, browser type, etc. We believe this is the right way. After all, your participants are interested in seeing your new software product, not the collaboration software. You start your presentation

concerned with this type of software automatically being installed on
their computer. There may also be additional installation and
compatibility problems, such as when the collaboration software
attempts to access the Internet and is blocked by personal firewall software such as Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security,
or XPs built in firewall, etc. Imagine what the start
of a 50 person conference would be like if even a
few participants have these installation or connectivity
issues. These types of problems cause unwanted distractions
and delays and may negatively reflect on your product and overall
presentation.
If the first part of your
presentations are spent discussing and installing collaboration software
